Well, you try being taken seriously with a starfish on your face! It's not easy!
Plus, you know the second you who saw Pirates: Dead Man's Chest saw the name 'Bootstrap Bill' in the title, you had already thought of a starfish. XP Serveral people I obsessed... erm, talked to about PotC2 told me they were actually bothered by it, so I decided I'd poke fun. If it makes any of you bothered people feel better... *points up* Apparently Bootstrap knows.
I had some second thoughts about posting this, because posting two PotC2 fanart-comic things so closely together might be overkill and people probably won't find this nearly as funny as I do, (it's really just an inside joke) but then I thought "What the heck, I'm bored, the picture is done, some people might find it funny at least a little funny, so why not post it?"
Oh, by the way, this is my first time drawing these particular characters (you could probably tell, though... I had some trouble drawing them) and it's supposed to look all slanty like that. XP You may've also noticed that I actually drew a background, and no, I'm not sick.
EDIT: O_o; People started faving this one and I felt bad, because I realy could've done better on it. ;; I touched it up a little; made the background a tad less cheap, made Will's outfit more accurate, however I couldn't find any good Bootstrap references, so he's still from memory.
!!!!!!!! THIS REMINDS ME OF THE DUCKMAN IN PRATCHETT BOOKS!
'I have a question.' 'Yes?' 'Why do you have a duck on your head?' 'What duck?' 'Nevermind . . . '

That starfish made me lol. xD Everyone else was all like completely mutated into some seacreature and he was all like "Rawr! I have a... starfish living on my face!!! ! ...? ... " And my friend brought up a really good point... remember in the first movie how eeryone said will looked ZOMG!identical to his dad? Did you see any resemblance whatsoever? xD
And yes, I finally got to see the movie today!! I'm making my mom take me again, and forcing her to sit through it. (She watched a different movie instead. D: )
You need to draw the jar of dirt with the caption "Most random essential plot item ever". Because it was. Having Jack dancing to his "I've got a jar of diiiirt!!" song alongside it would make it pwn even more. You know you want to! xD
A brand new monthly article which showcases some of deviantART's finest equine artists, as well as recognizing the lesser-known but equally talented ones. Interviews, helpful tutorials and features can all be found here too! I hope you enjoy it.
The idea of this contest is to set you up completely blind with a mythical being - from any world culture - and turn you loose to come up with a deviation based around it!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More

(The comment I left you might have been really, really long and typo-ridden. Sorry in advance.
He he hard to draw, though!! O_o;;; I attempted Jack Sparrow the other day, and much to my surprise I found it easier to draw him than Will.

Well, maybe if he didn't have starfishes and clams on his face he'd look slightly more like Will. XP!!
As for drawing a jar of dirt... I'll think about it. X3
