...It's back in a cartoony style... It's got side-scrolling maps... The camera looks a little questionable, but maybe they can pull it off... And it's got... wait, what?!
...
Ignoring what is potentially another stupid character or 'werewolf-Sonic'... Dear god, please don't suck...
[EDIT] Oh, look. Sites say that the release date will be in November.
Never mind. It's going to suck. -_- Official source or not, I kind of doubt it would have been released any later than December anyway.

YOU FOOL! YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO THROW THE FLASH BOMB INTO THE ROOM, NOT AT YOUR FEET!
You don't have to worry about Sega spreading themselves too thin because of Sonic Chronicles, though. Sega hired a completely different company, Bioware, to develop that project. Also, for the first time in a while, not only Sonic Team is making Sonic Unleashed, but also Sega of America and Sega of Europe.

What I've seen so far, looks potentially promissing. But It could easily be let down by things like the often subpar voice acting and laughable dialogue.
The whole werehog thing seems to be one of those 50/50 gimics. It could work very well, or it could be horribly naff depending on how its pulled off.
